METAFIELDS GURU Shopify App - Quick Tutorial & HONEST REVIEW

  • -Install and integrate the Metafields Guru App with your Shopify or Shopify Plus account, after which it redirects you to the dashboard.
  •
  • -At the top navigation bar, you can choose between Resource list, bulk editor, import & Export, Help and settings if you need that.
  •
  • -Choose Resource list, here you browse through your shop's resources, and it also includes a search option. You can add meta fields to smart and custom collections, Products & Variants, Customers, Orders, Pages, Blogs & Posts and your Shop.
  •
  • -To edit the page object, find the page you want to edit and start typing with the metafields app.
  •
  • -Next, click on the page object where you can search with the search button and list of items. You can also edit the Metafields app page; here, you can see and edit all the metafields we created using other metafields apps.
  •
  • -To create meta fields for a particular page, click on a blue button that says create metafield; a new field appears. First, you'll see a key that contains the name or label of the specific meta field. A good way of thinking about it is understanding it as an identifier. You would need to enter the metafield namespace; next, namespace is used to group different meta fields together in a logical way; if you don't have a lot of meta fields, you can just use local or global. Next, you have value type; you can choose to start with a video. Or you can just add string, integer and JSON string.
  •
  • -For users of metafields having the ability to add JSON is a huge plus. This means you can store a lot of strings or integers in one meta field. Think of it as a group of strings or integers. Choose string and write some dummy text like apple, sugar and aqua and click on save. Now just copy/paste the liquid code to your theme.

Using Metafields Guru, you enjoy access to a bulk editor, which makes editing even easier. You can also chat with customer support using the help centre.
